GeoCat Find 2026.0

Full DCAT-AP profile support, a new name, and up to five years of long-term support

GeoCat Find 2026.0 is out - the first release under that name. If you know GeoNetwork Enterprise, you know this product. We've simplified the name to bring it in line with the rest of our suite: Find, Map, Bridge, Live.

Find is built on GeoNetwork 4.4 and ships as two packages:

  • The first covers the full set of metadata schemas available in GeoNetwork, with a clean, focused interface.
  • The second is for Dutch users: it adds the Dutch dataset and service metadata schemas and a tailored interface built around Dutch metadata conventions.

Both packages include long-term support - up to three years - with extended support available for up to five years. For organizations that need stability across planning cycles, that matters.

DCAT-AP support

Find 2026.0 has strong support for DCAT-AP profiles: EU-DCAT-AP, EU-GeoDCAT-AP, DCAT-AP Mobility, DCAT-AP HVD, and DCAT-AP NL 3. If you're working toward open data compliance in a European context - whether under INSPIRE, HVD, or national regulations - this covers the profiles you're likely dealing with.

See the GeoCat Find 2026.0 Release Notes for more details.

Our role in GeoNetwork

GeoCat holds Core Contributor status in the GeoNetwork project, which means we're not just shipping a distribution - we're building the upstream. We're currently active in the GeoNetwork 5 project. That work flows back into Find. When the open source improves, our customers benefit directly.

We also sponsor OSGeo and participate in FOSS4G. Open source geospatial infrastructure only stays healthy if the organizations that depend on it invest in it. That's a principle we've built GeoCat around.
